About Science Space
The internationally-recognised, Science Space is the largest hands-on science centre in NSW. Located at the Innovation Campus, it is home to the largest planetarium in the state. With an average of 45,000 visitors per year, the Science Space has become one of the Illawarra's leading indoor tourist attractions.
Science Space can facilitate group visits, making it an optimal venue for interactive school excursions. Educational science and planetarium shows are run at the centre within the Illawarra Coal Science Theatre, and the Planetarium. Science Space also engages with the local community through its volunteer program and its internship program for University of Wollongong students.
